Easec was founded in 2005. We are proud of the depth of experience in our team. We are committed to give back to the industry through staff mentoring and training, and we support and develop each other and as a team. Easec’s Rehabilitation and Careers Consultants each have on average 9.4 years of experience in their field of expertise, are accredited with Comcare, and registered with their professional bodies. Easec consultants all share the vision of our company to maximise people’s potential to participate in work and enable them to live better lives.

Each Easec Rehabilitation Consultant holds tertiary qualifications in the health sciences field. We are an expert multi-disciplinary team who deliver quality services and real outcomes throughout Australia. Our comprehensive office network is supported by permanent Easec employees located locally in those regions. Julia Bunn

General Manager and Founder

Julia is an accomplished professional with 29 years’ experience in the workplace rehabilitation industry, having received her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the University of QLD in 1994 with Honors Class 1. Julia proudly serves as the founder and General Manager of Easec, an award-winning national provider of workplace rehabilitation and wellbeing services since its inception in 2005.

Our primary objective at Easec is to empower individuals to lead improved lives through meaningful engagement in occupation. We place a strong emphasis on fostering functional independence in homes, communities, and workplaces. Our distinctive approach revolves around our highly skilled team, who bring invaluable expertise to the table, and our ability to offer flexible and personalized solutions to our clients. We are committed to delivering consistently exceptional service on a national scale. Our values serve as the guiding principles for all our endeavours. We are experts in providing recovery, well-being, and employment services for veterans and personal injury insurers. Together, we work tirelessly to “make it work.”

Jacinda Keane

Veterans Services Provider Relationship Manager and Occupational Therapist

Jacinda graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004 and has worked in the field of occupational rehabilitation since her graduation, demonstrating her passion for the principles of workplace rehabilitation and the belief that this is a primary driver in assisting individuals to recover from injury and illness. Jacinda’s lengthy commitment to the Veteran population underpins her role as Account Manager for a variety of referrals from Veterans’ services organisations. Jacinda’s expertise extends from service provision for complex return to work cases, maximising quality of life outcomes for clients with complex medical management issues, and activities of daily living (ADL) home assessments and the provision of recommendations for modifications and/or equipment.

Jacinda leads a team of over 40 Rehabilitation Consultants who specialise in the delivery of rehabilitation services to Veterans, and ensures their professional development, mentoring and thorough knowledge of complex legislation and veteran support services is unsurpassed.

Toni Both

Life Insurance Provider Relationship Manager and Senior Psychologist

Toni has over 21 years of experience as a Psychologist and Rehabilitation Consultant in Workplace Rehabilitation, with over 15 years experience primarily in the Life Insurance space. As the Easec Account Manager for Life Insurance work, Toni is responsible for customer relationships and ensures the quality of all our services. Toni continues to carry a caseload, specialising in assessments and case management of complex psychological claims.

Toni leads a team of over 15 Rehabilitation Consultants with expert skills in Life and Income Protection Insurance. This team consists of specialists in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Job Placement. Her mentoring ensures her team undertake extensive professional development and training to make sure the needs of Life Insurers are met. Toni focuses on the quality assurance of all services delivered to ensure her customers receive consistent high standard outcomes.

Toni successfully manages Easec’s position as preferred panel provider to a number of Life Insurers. Toni is also involved in development and overseeing several pilot programs to assist Life Insurers to meet their specific member needs for rehabilitation and return to work.

Lucinda De Coster

Operations Manager, Rehabilitation Counsellor and Life Coach

Lucinda has over 17 years of experience as a Rehabilitation Consultant across a wide variety of personal injury insurers and different state workers’ compensation systems.

Lucinda has expertise in delivering comprehensive vocational rehabilitation services, Vocational Assessments, Labour Market Assessments, and rehabilitation needs assessments. She is acknowledged for her ability to deliver services to the most complex and challenging clients and has an expert reputation amongst Life Insurance and Defence/Veteran populations. Lucinda is adept at understanding the needs of our customers and clients and tailoring our team’s services to match these needs.

Lucinda is responsible for mentoring our Team Leaders and ensuring our services are delivered to a consistently high standard across all of our teams nationally. Based in Townsville, Lucinda manages our teams and offices in Cairns and Townsville.

Leanne Burrowes

Comcare / ORAMS Provider Relationship Manager and Psychologist

Leanne has over 24 years’ experience as a registered psychologist across private practice, consultancy, organisational and occupational health settings, With the past 18 years in injury management and workplace rehabilitation services. Her experience encompasses a broad range of service areas and legislations, with her passion in supporting and assisting with cases that incorporate complex health and psychosocial needs. Services can be ongoing case work, short term and/or early intervention programs or single service applications. She can quickly build rapport and negotiate a plan forward with clients for return to work or maintenance at work activities, blending a sensitive approach of empathy and respectful humour in situations where clients have felt overwhelmed with system, process and unexpected change. A sought-after senior consultant within Easec and the industry, she is quickly able to engage with all stakeholders, with her speciality in negotiating a collaborative plan forward to promote wellness and sustainability.

Leanne leads a team of Rehabilitation Consultants who specialise in Comcare services. This team consists of specialists in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Job Placement. Her guidance and mentoring ensures the team undertake extensive professional development and training in the needs of Commonwealth Agencies, and her focus on quality reports, managing suitable and sustainable outcomes for all parties, and quality assurance ensures all work is delivered at a consistently high standard and in line with service guidelines and referral expectations.

Brendan Conn

WorkCover Provider Relationship Manager and Exercise Physiologist

Brendan has over 8 years of experience in Workplace Rehabilitation, injury prevention and case management across several jurisdictions in Australia, and particularly in regional Queensland. Brendan is skilled at identifying return to work barriers and managing individuals through the return to work process. Brendan carries a caseload utilising his special expertise in the management of complex physical conditions.

Brendan leads a team of Rehabilitation Consultants who specialise in WorkCover Queensland rehabilitations services. This team consists of specialists in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling and Job Placement. Brendan ensures his team undertakes extensive professional development and training in the needs of Queensland employers and WorkCover Queensland and his ongoing mentoring and quality assurance activities ensures a consistent quality experience with Easec consultants.

Danielle Rose

Employer Services Provider Relationship Manager and Rehabilitation Counsellor.

With over 16 years of experience in Occupational Rehabilitation, Danielle has worked across both public and private sectors gaining extensive experience in tailoring rehabilitation programs to individual clients and workplaces.

Danielle specialises in complex claims, usually involving the management of a combination of physical and psychological conditions. She incorporates her proven counselling and mental health assessment skills in the case management process. Danielle also has a special interest in the development and delivery of training packages to assist with facilitating employee wellbeing and psychologically healthy workplaces.

Danielle leads a team of Rehabilitation Consultants who specialise in providing individualised physical and psychological, mental health and wellbeing services to Queensland government departments, self-insurers and National employers. This team consists of specialists in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Job Placement. Her mentoring ensures her team undertake extensive professional development and training in the needs of employers, and her focus on quality assurance ensures all work is delivered at a consistently high standard.

Ian Montgomery

Employer Services Account Manager and Exercise Physiologist and Ergonomist

Ian has 12 years of experience in Workplace Rehabilitation. Ian specialises in the case management of physical injury claims, identifying barriers to return to work and overcoming these to achieve return to work outcomes. He has specific strength in task analysis assessments and correlating the relationship of function with the ability to return to work.

Ian leads a team of Rehabilitation Consultants who specialise in injury prevention and workplace wellness services for employers. Ian successfully engages with employers to develop wellness and injury prevention services tailored to our customer’s needs.
